| Another flawed study reverse engineered a link between skin cancer and solarium use
Brussels, 28th of May 2010 (ESA) – A University of Minnesota research group claims to have linked solarium use to a higher risk for melanoma in what they call “a case-controlled study”1.
According to a study conducted under the lead of Dr. De Ann Lazovich, a researcher who notably
receives funding for developing interventions to reduce indoor tanning use, melanoma diagnosed persons
had to answer on their tanning habits using a self-administered questionnaire. Selected information was entered into a computer-assisted telephone interview system to facilitate a subsequent 1 hour telephone interview. |
