Technical Working Group (TWG)

The Technical Working Group - currently chaired by Dr. Peter Bocionek - is an advisory group to the ESA Board with regard to any technical questions concerning sunbeds, lamps for subeds, other components and measurement. The members of the TWG are engineers and physicists from leading manufacturers of the tanning industry. Please contact Dr. Bocionek for question regarding the work of the ESA TWG.

A Sun-Lover Sees Bright Side, Mood Boost, Vitamin D
It  all  goes  back  to my  childhood  freckles.  The  grown-ups  told me  they  were  cute,  and  I
believed them. And when they kept sprouting, I didn't mind. I figured I was getting cuter. Like
millions of middle-aged Americans,  I  spent  youthful  summers basted with baby oil, hoping
the Midwestern sun would bake me into a California girl. My friends and I envied the kids with
spring-break tans. We didn't give a thought to cancer.
